Benonians yoga for Hospice

Benonians showed their support for Hospice East Rand, with a yoga class held at the Benoni Country Club recently. They are seen performing the Warrior Pose.

The aim of the morning was to enjoy an energising yoga class with friends and family – and also to collect as many items as possible for Hospice.

According to van Heerden the response was incredible, with many people who were trying yoga for the first time, coming along with large groups of friends to show their support.

Over 40 litres of long life milk, 15 boxes of tea, two tins of coffee, 12 packets of sugar, 24 different kinds of food, biscuits and rusks, 25 different cleaning supplies, over 90 rolls of toilet paper and various good quality clothes, books and other charity shop items, were collected.

“Thank you to everyone who made an effort to take part in this good cause,” said van Heerden.

“Your donations were received with such joy and gratitude.”
