Putfontein pastor denied bail

A Putfontein pastor who was arrested for attempted murder and assault with the intent to cause grievous bodily harm was denied bail in the Benoni Magistrate’s Court on March 5.

The 42-year-old man was arrested on February 28 in Mayfield Extension 11, in Putfontein.

Putfontein SAPS spokesperson Const Justice Ramaube said police raided the man’s house, where they found three men who had sustained burns.

“Upon further investigations, it was revealed that the suspect burnt the three men for allegedly stealing from him,” said Ramaube.
