Four men were arrested for being in possession of copper and for tampering with the Infrastructure Act on November 1 in Putfontein.
Putfontein SAPS spokesperson Constable Justice Ramaube said the four men were arrested shortly after they stole copper cables at Transnet Sentrarand.
“The arrest was made in conjunction with a private security company after police were alerted,” said Ramaube.
Police confiscated the goods and the suspects were detained.
